What each person needs to know.
Usage is transparent without turning every generation into a customer-facing receipt ledger.
Allowance display
Members see the percentage of managed AI allowance remaining and the next reset date. They do not see model prices or individual call costs.
Monthly guardrail
A workspace admin sets the monthly extra-spend limit. Choosing $0 keeps extra spend off when the included allowance runs out.
Admin authority
Only workspace admins can change plans, payment details, invoices, auto-reload, or extra-spend settings.
Separate execution
Personal or approved workspace BYOK is billed by the connected provider. Local models do not use the managed workspace allowance.
External agents
CLI and MCP requests use a separate meter only when external agents connect through Etch CLI or Etch MCP.
